Synopsis

Red-hot action superstars Paul Walker and Jessica Alba heat up the screen as two sexy young divers who dream of finding hidden treasure. When they take some friends (Scott Caan and Ashley Scott) on an extreme sport adventure, the last thing they expect to see below the shark-infested waters is a legendary pirate ship rumored to contain millions of dollars in gold. But their incredible good fortune is short-lived, as a ruthless gang of deadly criminals gets word of what they have uncovered. The discovery of a lifetime could just cost the treasure hunters their lives, in the exciting thriller from the director of Blue Crush.

Reviews

Peter Hartlaub San Francisco Chronicle | September 30, 2005

The makers of Into the Blue know what the audience wants. And they deliver a little bit more.

Roger Moore Orlando Sentinel | September 30, 2005

Alba? We'd follow her anywhere, especially Into the Blue.

Peter Howell Toronto Star | September 30, 2005

There is nothing about Into the Blue that is going to arouse anything above the waistline, but director Stockwell makes a fair show of it.

Jami Bernard New York Daily News | September 30, 2005

An enjoyable, gorgeously photographed aquatic adventure whose stars are blissfully bodacious.

Michael Booth Denver Post | September 30, 2005

Manages to create a winning Caribbean vibe that stretches into a fun popcorn flick.

Rick Groen Globe and Mail | September 30, 2005

This one tells a hoary tale of Caribbean salvage operators dedicated to hunting sunken treasure on the ocean floor. But the true salvager is the guy behind the camera. John Stockwell has already flashed his talent for rescuing B-material.
