Synopsis

Get ready to kick some serious past with the wildly inappropriate UNRATED version of HOT TUB TIME MACHINE. The outrageous laughs bubble up when four friends share a crazy night of drinking in a ski resort hot tub, only to wake up with serious hangovers in 1986 – back when girls wore leg warmers, guys watched “Red Dawn” and Michael Jackson was black! Now, nice-guy Adam (John Cusack), party animal Lou (Rob Corddry), married man Nick (Craig Robinson) and mega-nerd Jacob (Clark Duke) must relive a wild night of sex, drugs and rock-n-roll and try to change their future – forever !

Reviews

Laremy Legel Film.com | May 06, 2011

Well played, Hot Tub Time Machine, well played. You defied expectations, in a good way, and managed to evolve from "potentially silly concept" to "fairly funny film."

Ian Buckwalter NPR | July 04, 2010

Admirably turns a potentially one-note joke into a consistently funny package.

Rafer Guzman Newsday | March 26, 2010

Hugely raunchy and undeniably funny, with Cusack adding just a hint of sweetness.

Andrea Gronvall Chicago Reader | March 26, 2010

Director Steve Pink offsets the satire with moments of genuine warmth.

Tom Long Detroit News | March 26, 2010

The name says it all.

A.O. Scott New York Times | March 26, 2010

It's fun, it's sad, and it's kind of sad that it's so much fun.

Richard Roeper Richard Roeper.com | March 26, 2010

Best title since "Snakes on a Plane" and consistent laughs throughout.
