Synopsis

Every second counts in this sexy, stylish action-thriller starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. In a future where time is literally money and aging stops at 25, the only way to stay alive is to earn, borrow, steal or inherit more time. But when a poor, working-class man (Timberlake) is falsely accused of murder, he teams up with a beautiful heiress (Seyfried) and must figure out a way to bring down the corrupt system before their dwindling life clocks run out!

Reviews

Andrea Gronvall Chicago Reader | November 10, 2011

Clever and unsettling.

Bruce Diones New Yorker | October 31, 2011

Niccol's zippy direction, joined to a sleek, rich production design, keeps the movie spinning like a shiny toy.

Rick Groen Globe and Mail | October 28, 2011

Happily, there are some laughs en route. More happily yet, a few of them are even intentional.

Richard Roeper Richard Roeper.com | October 28, 2011

In Time is filled with sly references and obvious puns, as well as sometimes heavy-handed parallels to class warfare.

Stephen Whitty Newark Star-Ledger | October 28, 2011

A both flawed and fascinating movie, give it this, at the very least: Even at its most far-fetched or thinly plotted, you never feel that "In Time" is wasting a second of yours.

Melissa Anderson Village Voice | October 28, 2011

In Time owes as much to The Marx-Engels Reader as Bonnie and Clyde.

Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle | October 28, 2011

Not for one moment does Niccol compromise this serious sci-fi world, and yet he hits all the marks for crowd-pleasing mass entertainment: "In Time" never stops moving.
