Synopsis

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie smolder in one of the most anticipated, sizzling action films ever made. After five (or six) years of vanilla-wedded bliss, ordinary suburbanites John and Jane Smith (Pitt and Jolie) are stuck in a rut the size of the Grand Canyon...until the truth comes out! Unbeknownst to each other, they are both coolly lethal, highly paid assassins working for rival organizations. And when they discover they're each other's next target, their secret lives collide in a spicy, explosive mix of wicked comedy, pent-up passion, nonstop action and high-tech weaponry that gives an all-new meaning to "Till death do us part!"

Reviews

Ken Tucker New York Magazine | May 12, 2006

Mr. & Mrs. Smith works on almost every level and against all odds.

Richard Roeper Ebert & Roeper | June 13, 2005

Very good.

Stephanie Zacharek Salon.com | June 11, 2005

It's a love story not for the faint of heart. In other words, it's a lot like marriage.

Terry Lawson Detroit Free Press | June 11, 2005

Who knows what went on behind the screen between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, but what's on the screen is extremely entertaining.

Bruce Newman San Jose Mercury News | June 10, 2005

A high-gloss, high-caliber domestic squabble, a lip-lock and load romance that might just as easily have been called 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith & Wesson.'

Roger Moore Orlando Sentinel | June 10, 2005

It's not perfect. It's like a marriage.

Rick Groen Globe and Mail | June 10, 2005

Mr. & Mrs. Smith proves that what seemed to be a darkly funny primer on the state of marriage is really a romantic comedy in disguise.
